Note From the Corporation

The mission of the DeKalb County Central United School District is to develop socially responsible students who are engaged in all aspects of their education, who are academically successful, and who are prepared for success in the 21st Century. The District strives to achieve this mission with the understanding that we serve approximately 3,800 diverse learners, each with different dreams and aspirations for the future. DeKalb County Central United School District is comprised of four elementary schools, one middle and high school, and one alternative program.


We are a community of educators that prides ourselves in achieving educational excellence. Our District’s educational process is superior and incorporates multiple layers of academic support, as well as extra and co-curricular offerings that address varying learning styles. In our pursuit of continuous improvement, we are fortunate to have a dedicated, highly competent team of education professionals who work tirelessly to meet the needs of every student.


The District embraces the support of our community partners and recognizes the impact of rapidly evolving technology. We also know that global awareness plays an integral role in the development of a superb education. We believe that by providing choices for each student, and emphasizing “how students learn best,” we are on track for EXCELLENCE…EVERYONE…EVERY DAY!
