Mt. Vernon High School (MVHS) is located on the Fortville school campus and serves grades 9-12. MVHS offers a wide variety of educational opportunities including a customized curriculum to challenge students. MVHS is rated an “A” school and is also a Four Star School. Classes are infused with cutting-edge technology with STEM as a focus. Students also have the opportunity to take vocational classes at MVHS, such as aerospace, certified nursing and medical assistant, welding, and HVAC programs, as well as additional opportunities through career centers. MVHS also offers numerous Advanced Placement (AP) and dual credit courses, as well as Advanced College Project (ACP) courses. The school runs on a block 4 schedule and consistently has high graduation rates and academic honors diploma percentages. It has been recognized as a "College Success Award" winner from the GreatSchools Organization three times.
