Bedford North Lawrence High School is located just to the east of the town of Bedford, Indiana, in Lawrence County. The school opened in January of 1975 as the result of the consolidation of seven schools. The high school has an enrollment of approximately 1400 students in grades nine through twelve. The school is part of the North Lawrence Community School Corporation, which serves approximately 5,000 students from the portion of the county north of White River. Bedford itself has slightly over 14,000 residents and Lawrence County has a population of over 43,000 individuals. Lawrence County is located in south-central Indiana, about 70 miles south of Indianapolis at the crossroads of S.R. 37 and U.S. 50.
Bedford North Lawrence High School is the Home of the STARS. Each school day, BNL transforms itself into one of the area’s larger communities, with about 1400 students and over 100 faculty and staff to meet their curricular and extra-curricular needs. We take great pride in having achieved the status of an Indiana Four Star School the past four years.
